Sowing Seeds with Jennifer Jewell

Following my spiral into seed starting (6 weeks till last frost date!), I’ve started Jennifer Jewell’s newest book What We Sow: On the Personal, Ecological, and Cultural Significance of Seeds. I’m a tremendous fan of her podcast Cultivating Place and finished her first book on a recent vacation to Vancouver. As a preview, I’ve included her podcast below where she’s interviewed by Dave Schlom as her book launched. In Calgary, you have to almost remind yourself spring will come eventually. Between this book and planting hundreds of seeds under my grow lights….I almost believe it despite the snow on the ground.
